Just a little filler, just whiling away my days

 

Wow, so I have literally never had such an exhausting but fun-filled weekend! Being a university student is definitely a wild life but when you are also part of a residential college (as I am) it is intense. However, the nice part about my weekend was that a lot of what I did had absolutely nothing to do with college aside from the fact that two very special people from college invited me along - my boyfriend, Scott and my best friend, Alex (who no longer resides at college though).

Whoa. So my blogger only just converted to the "new" posting scheme and it's a bit trippy, I can see why everyone was complaining. Why is it that you cannot rotate pictures nor do they upload as they are originally?! That is, the right way around! I'm sorry if you have to incline your head for the picture above, I tried my best to get it the right way around but I guess this is a glitch blogger needs to work on.

Wednesday WhatsIts: How To Cope With...University

Honestly? I love studying, it's actually enjoyable to me. I credit my parents for the way they've brought me up; I developed an insatiable need to learn from a young age. This has always been something that pains my teachers though and literally throughout my primary, middle, and high school education they've always told me I have the potential to get "the grades" but just that I don't apply myself accordingly despite being intelligent. Thing is, I don't care about numbers and I don't believe in wasting my time learning things I can't use. So for me, university has always been my goal and from when I was 11 years old I had big plans for myself.

This is how I intend to strut my stuff today

Well almost anyway. I changed into jeans last minute before heading off to lectures this afternoon and I'm glad I did because the wind was howling outside despite it being sunny and supposedly Spring! By the way, isn't that tan line on my legs insanely noticeable?! Would you believe my legs got tanned on a two-ish hour drive sitting in the front seat? How annoying, clothing tans are difficult to wear, no pun intended.

Well, I don't exactly live in a town nor do I have a photo of where I currently live (Adelaide) or for that matter "home" (Sri Lanka) so I thought a photo of where I used to live before Adelaide, before Sri Lanka and where I still consider home to be (I have yet to get used to Sri Lanka despite having lived there for 4 years now and being half Sri Lankan): Hong Kong, Taikoo Shing.

It has certainly been quite a while since I've written and that's because I've been on mid-semester break! Or rather, two weeks off from university but more or less two weeks to finish off assignments due in the first week back. Nevertheless, I had some time to enjoy life a little and of course what better way than spending it with Scott and friends?
